Trevs Story is attempting to raise $3.5 m to assist with future and ongoing projects
Our current major goal is the purchase of Kerami Manor to be used as a Wellness centre for all those in need to receive care and some time out during a darker time in their life. The continued running costs for such a specialised facility - being therapists, cooking, cleaning and management staff all need to be accounted for to allow for a seamless operation to give the best possible care to those in need. Setting up more ground troops to reach a wider expanse of population is an ongoing process, as well as the purchase of audio visual equipment, literature and other general costs take a massive amount out of our resources.
Research is part of the life blood of our charity, aiding in giving us a clear road map to find the who, why and how we can help. This is where an extensive portion of our funding needs to go.
Our research team is just as busy as the ground troops - discussions with survivors, gathering and analysing data to narrow down common threads is an ever changing challenge. The team is constantly conducting surveys, asking the hard questions to keep our focus aimed in the right direction. This requires many hours of investigation to help minimise the chances of a vulnerable demographic being overlooked.
The creation of ‘Marble for a Mate’ is an example of an initiative that has been developed by our research team to unite our vulnerable tradies.
Kerami Manor
Our Major Donation Goal
Kerami Manor has been a well renowned wellness centre since the early 1900’s. Having been devastated by the 2009 fires, Kerami has since been rebuilt by the current owners. Kerami has been well appointed into a fine establishment where visitors feel warm and welcomed, encouraging the mind to unwind and recharge. With bush walks on the doorstep, the Marysville township a walk away, or a sit by the river close by, with fresh mountain air and even sometimes snow, it provides a place of serenity and a space to rest the mind. Currently for sale, Trevs story is in discussions to purchase this lovely property. The purchase of Kerami Manor will provide a place free of charge for many who require a place to gather thoughts access to therapists - whether it be body and massage work, or someone to talk to. This is presently our main goal to achieve through kind donations and support.
